One Hope...

Welcome to this blog. My hope and prayer is that it might serve as a place God-willing to encourage fellow believers in the faith, but also provide an arena to provoke non-believers to consider the faith. A little about my own story. I became a Christian eight years ago after considering the claims of Jesus Christ on a Christianity Explored course. At the time I was firmly a non-believer, and doubted even the very existence of a God.

Yet over the course of five weeks I began to see that I hadn't fully grasped the true message of what Christians believe. I also knew that my understanding of Christianity was built on false assumptions, a Christianity where my performance was just as important as what Jesus did on the cross. It was more about being good and following a list of rules. What changed? One word - grace. The true gospel message is one of undeserved grace. The grace of God in sending his own Son to die for sinful people. The grace of God in loving people who live in his world, without living for him. So here it goes. Let the blogging commence. It may not be a daily blog, but I hope one or two posts might be a way in deepening our understanding of the God who made us, loves us, and has called us to believe in his Son and know life everlasting.
